Well another year has come and gone.
We decided to finish the year off at our favorite restaurant.
I've posted about it before, but hey what can I say?
we love the Terroni.
We seem to have passed on our love for Terroni to Lulu. Whenever we tell her we are going out for dinner, her immediate request is Terroni!!! Yay!!!!
A few weeks ago, we opted to stay in and threw frozen pizza in the oven instead. Maybe the three feet of snow had something to do with it.
Well this did not go over well with miss lulu.
"ah, this not terroni pizza..I don't like it. no thank-you."
as she pushes the plate away from her in disgust.
okay then.
Who can blame her? check out that beauty above.
yum.
this particular pizza was speck, pear, roasted walnuts, Gorgonzola and drizzled with honey.
heaven.
We actually managed to go out to eat a fair bit in 2007- all things considered.
Like having a two year old.
it was so much easier when she sat in a highchair...sigh.
Actually
we did go through a bit of a bumpy stage in the fall, where she started
getting a wee bit high maintenance while we were out to eat, but thanks
to our new favorite toy, we are now able to enjoy OUR entrees in relative peace and quiet.
Yay Leapster!!
crayons and paper only take you so far.
totally
goes against anything I may or may not have thought or said about
parents who bring electronic gadgets to restaurants to distract their
kids...boy was I ever naive.
and hey if it allows big daddy and I to
enjoy that second glass of Chianti- specifically a Rocca Delle Mac
Chianti Classico Reserva.
why not?
I am looking forward to 2008 with all kinds of new restaurants (and old) that I can't wait to sink my teeth into.
Santa even brought me a gift certificate to Celestine- always a great stand by.
we had reservations at L' Unita for New Year's but had to cancel...long story.
But we look forward to checking it out in a couple of weeks.
And of course we look forward to checking out Terroni's newest location in the old Court House on Adelaide.
I'm sure we won't be disappointed.
Happy New Year!
what was your favorite restaurant in 2007?

We also love Terroni, especially with the kids, but my 7 yo also loves Bar Italia; memorable dining experiences in 2007 for us included North 44 for mom's 70th birthday, and Terra, just a bit north of the city, for some special birthday dinners.
Hope to do some more fun dining out in 2008. Happy new year to you!

We love Tommy Kroghs (sp?) down on Queen St. East. Also continue to love Phoebe's (the seafood place) at Mount Pleasant and Eglinton.
