The List. We all have one (don't we?) - of people that we would be allowed to sleep with should they ever come a-knockin' at our door. I think it's a sign of a healthy marriage. The Husband knows that if Christina Ricci started wooing him, I would quickly and quietly bow out of the way. And if he brought Ashley Judd home, I just might join in the fun. In fact, the Husband simply loves to tell me about all the gorgeous stars he would leave me for. And hey, if they want to sleep with him - all the power to him. I would be disappointed in him if he said no.
What the Husband doesn't particularly like, is hearing about all the guys that I would leave HIM for. Suddenly, the conversation is not so fun. So, I generally don't bring up my crushes unless I'm feeling rather ornery, and want to irritate him. Still, he's very much aware of who is on my list. I've been thinking (dreaming? salivating?) about that list ever since I read this post about lusting after characters from Lost. Well, I don't happen to include any Lost characters on my list, because frankly, who wouldn't I sleep with on that show?? Okay, maybe not Hurley, but he's a sweet guy, and I just might be willing to give him a Pity Bang..
So without further ado, here is a list of my not-so-secret TV crushes. The order changes daily, but the cast of characters is generally the same:
10. Greg Grunberg AKA "Matt Parkman". Okay, so you know I can't have a list without at least someone from Heroes on it, right? Most people are in love with Peter or Nathan Petrelli, but I am crushing on the sweet and cuddly homebody, Matt. Not only is he a great dad, but he can read my mind and give me exactly what I want in the sack and from the jewellery store. AND he wears a uniform. Good times.

9. Simon Cowell AKA Simon Cowell. Okay, okay, I know what you're thinking here - "Simon Cowell?? Ew!" He's kinda sexy though, when he's not wearing see-through white t- shirts. And really? It's all about the challenge. Simon doesn't like anybody, and if he likes me, it means I've won. Life is all about the competition.

8. Jason Dohring AKA "Logan Eckles". Well, I just can't do a post like this without a little jailbait, now can I? Not many people watched Veronica Mars, and it's a sadder world for it. Logan is the on-again off-again boyfriend of the title character, and fulfills all my teenage fantasies about dating the "bad boy". And he's rich. Not too shabby, my friends, not too shabby at all.

7. Katee Sackhoff AKA "Starbuck". AND, just to show that I'm an equal opportunity crusher, I wouldn't kick this chick outta bed for eating crackers. Plus, I would be remiss if I didn't include at least someone from Battlestar Galactica. THE GREATEST TV SHOW OF ALL TIME. Apollo's hot and has an accent, but he's too short. The Chief was a cutie till he let himself go. The other good-looking girls are all cylons, so Katee it is. Plus, have you seen her on Bionic Woman? Yowsa.

6. Colin Firth AKA "Mr Darcy". Technically, Mr Firth is a movie star, and not on television, but since he did Pride and Predjudice, I feel he can be safely listed here. Some people don't "get" my crush on Colin Firth, and to those people I say: Good day to you!

5. Hugh Laurie AKA "Gregory House". Again with the challenge! I must be someone who likes the chase. I also have a bitter, sarcastic sense of humour and his character's jokes crack me up. And if he pisses me off, I can outrun him in a heartbeat. But really, he's dead sexy and has an accent. Could I ask for anything more?

4. John Krasinski AKA "Jim Halpert". A keen sense of humour is really the best way to my heart. I don't think I've ever laughed harder than at some of the pranks he's pulled in The Office. If I was working with him in real life, I would be totally in love with him. IN LOVE, do you hear me?? Plus, his shenanigans illustrate how I imagine it would be like to work with The Husband. (Awwww.)

3. Nathan Fillion AKA "Capt. Malcolm 'Mal' Reynolds". The top three people on my list are in constant competition for first place. If you don't know who Nathan Fillion is, you should. He first came to my attention in Buffy the Vampire Slayer as the creepy Caleb. Then I saw him on Firefly. Wow. All I can say is WOW. Sexy, funny as all heck, and Canadian. Need I say more?

2. Eric Pane AKA Mark "McSteamy" Sloan. Forget McDreamy. McDreamy who? Patrick Dempsey has nothing on this guy. No wonder his wife slept with him. Will you look at him??? He fullfills the Beefcake quota on my list. I just recently started watching Grey's Anatomy, and got the second season for Christmas. The Husband is sorry that he bought it, because I can't stop drooling.

1. Kyle Chandler AKA "Coach Taylor". Most people I know haven't even seen or heard of Friday Night Lights, but they really are missing out. If you love teen angst like I do (90210? Party of Five? Gilmore Girls? Everwood? Dawson's Creek? Anyone???), this little show that could blows them all out of the water. Not to mention the hottest coach around. Check it out. Check him out. You won't regret it.
***This is posted with many apologies to my sexy and funny Husband. You're the real number one on this list. (Awwww.)
***Anyone reading "Musical Mondays?" It will return as a regular feature shortly. I got sidetracked with well, life. You know how it is.

i honestly do not have one of these lists. When we were first married I used to joke with my husband that the only man I'd leave him for was Harrison Ford, but dude, he's too old now. And i don't think I'd take well to hearing a list from my husband. we do it the old fashioned way... we keep it to ourselves. Although, in a conversation with my husband yesterday, we realized we BOTH might get the chance to meet Brad Pitt. Not that I could compete with Anjelina or anything. ;)

I'm down with #2, 3, 4 and 7.

I'm all about Katee Sackhoff. Would love BSG without her, but she really does it for me. Her evil turn in Bionic Woman just sealed the deal.
And for my equal opportunity side, Nathan Fillion is the one!

I am so with you on Simon Cowell! I've always liked him and if he quit smoking I'd be all over him.

No Charlie from LOST? He's so underrated. But man, I have it bad for him.

Not really into tv guys but if Jack White from the White Stripes or Gael Garcia Bernal came a knockin' I'd ALL OVER THAT!

Well, I've made no secret of who my movie star boyfriend is, but on TV? Hmmm. I think Mark Harmon is looking pretty good these days, actually, though I usually am not into older men that way. And Josh Duhamel on Vegas is pretty sweet, but is that show still on? But I gotta admit, I'm more McDreamy than McSteamy, even though he is way out of type for me. It's the character, it's gotta be.

Jim Halpert is my imaginary crush. If I was in my 20s and worked in an office, I would be hopelessly in love with him.

Hell NO, we don't have a "list." And if he has a running list in his head, he is smart enough to keep it to himself! There are most definitely many men that are attractive to me, but even joking about infidelity is something that gets my panties in a bunch. I am an INCREDIBLY jealous person when it comes to things like that...

Teen angst? Oh yeah. Know it well...
And I really like Kyle Chandler... ever since Homefront. :-)

AAAAAHHHH!
I posted my list (of random celebrities versus tv actors) at your OTHER blog before reading this one. But I'm tickled that you have Nathan Fillion on your list!
And Pride & Prejudice was a TV mini-series AND it was just rebroadcast on PBS so Colin Firth does qualify as a tv star.
