Sounds of South By 2008

The very first artist that I stumbled upon in Austin, Texas at SXSW was Brandon Chandler, a singer, songwriter from Portland, Oregon. I am loving his organic and soulful sound. Be sure to check out "Slow Up Slow Down."

Another artist that makes my heart feel magnificent beauty is Dan Mangan.

There was a bevy of high energy European artists including The Fashion, Duffy, The Duke Spirit and Junkie XL.

While last year's breakout artist was Amy Winehouse, the group that could possibly do the same in 2008 is The Ting Tings. They are Katie White and Jules de Martino and even with just the two of them on stage, they are infectious!

Of course that touches on only a few of the acts that performed this year. I can't be expected to give you much more now that I know that Dell puts bloggers in a cage.
