They keep insisting stretch marks come down to genetics. If that's the case, my genes saved my stomach. Too bad they couldn't share the love with my hips. Great canyon-sized purple lines have been engraved in my chach.
A publicist/friend (the best "slash" combo to know) sent me a bottle of Bio Oil. No, it's not some green fuel that will get your husband all excited. It's a skin treatment that claims to reduce scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone. I had seen the commercials with somebody's mom running across a beach, happy that Bio Oil had turned her lukewarm mom-bod back up to hot. I was skeptical.
But the pamphlet claimed they use this stuff on burn victims and in children's hospitals. So the ingredients couldn't be horrible. I'm usually anal when it comes to ingredients. I'm a huge anti-paraben/sodium laurel sulfate psycho and drive my family crazy. But somehow, I just accepted the breakthrough ingredient of "PurCellin Oil" as a sort of Lorenzo's Oil and slathered the stuff on liberally.
Oh wow. WOW! Now if I don't put it on in the mornings, I get the same feeling one gets when they don't have their wedding ring on. (Or maybe it's like what happens when you don't get that next smack injection...) It's like an itch that screams, "Bio Oil! Stat!"
I sheepishly told all my friends about the free bottle, assuming it was rather expensive. Then by bestie told me she'd grown tired of my promises to share. She'd gone and bought it at Shopper's Drug Mart for under $15. What? How is this possible? You can't NOT try it now people!
As for my stretch marks, they're still there. But they are less pronounced. And softer. And if I could be the type of person who remembered to floss, or put on Bio Oil the recommended thrice daily for three months, I might see better results. If you're a diligent, disciplined person, I suspect you're going to fall in love with Bio Oil.
$12.99 for 60 ml at Shopper's Drug Mart

I need anything that feels like wow!

I could use some wow myself. If it takes away the C-scar, then it will truly be a miracle.

I'm sadly just not dedicated enough to get results from AYNTHING! I'm trying to be better, buit it just never lasts. Only things like calcium and folic acid actually get the daily treatment.

I was totally wondering about this stuff. Next time I'm redeeming points, it goes in the basket.
