#3 -- Lorac Gloss Stick
Last week your faithful Addictine was strung out on a new job high and missed a post. This week I'm paying the price. My favourite lip gloss ran out.
I even went so far as to get the lip brush out so I could dig out every last ounce of delish lip goodness. Pshaw, you say. It's just lip gloss. A dime a dozen. But I swear to you that Lorac Gloss Sticks are no ordinary lip gloss.
The thing about Addictine is she likes to shop. She loves to ask for free samples. Add her shopulemic sister to the mix (she has a binge and return habit)... well, let's just say yours truly has tried a lot of products.
A gay man I worked with at the Olive Garden (yes, I once slung breadsticks to pay for clubbing alcohol shoes school) once said, "Some people can go without lipstick and look great. You are not one of those people." Thankfully, Lorac's Gloss Stick comes in three subtle shades that compliment most skin colours. (And also comes in a clear shade for those who don't fear the wrath of gay men.)
It smells like a Creamsicle. It tastes really good too, which is rare. The scent and the taste match, leaving you to believe that they actually put in it what they say: Vanilla, as well as macadamia and sunflower seeds. The silky texture makes it easy to apply and the moisture levels are Addictine-worthy. It's ideal for daily use, giving you an "I tried, but not too hard" look at the playground.
Created by Carol Shaw, a high-demand Hollywood makeup artist, Lorac is best known for lipsticks named after the celebrities Shaw created them for. When you buy the shade "Julia," for example, it was likely designed specifically for Julia Roberts. And yes, "Martha" is indeed named after the Great One. See! It's a Good Thing.
Addictine wants you to know that she also uses a lipstick named for a celebrity, but you'll have to wait until next week to find out which one. (Free gift if you're the first to guess.)
Until then, run to Sephora (or visit online) and try Gloss Sticks for yourself.

I will definetly check this one out as I'm always looking for lipgloss that's not too gooey and that tastes good too.
