Now that our snazzy reno'd library has reopened, we are there at least twice a week. I will definitely be looking for many of these, but I'd also like to recommend Pinkalicious by Victoria & Elizabeth Kann. It's more pink than princess, but it's cute, and we've had to renew it already.
There is a part where the kid 'disses green veggies, so I make a slight modification to the story there, but otherwise, it's pretty good.

The world of princesses has recently set down in our home so to appease her majesty I may just have to check out a few of these suggestions at the library. Now how do I nip this pink and tulle everything in the bud?

I'm actually doing a birthday present with a princess theme - what timing! I wanted book that were different, so this is perfect. Thanks! All I could think of was the Paper Bag Princess and another book I found called the Princesses Have a Ball (can't remember the author, but it's about princesses playing basketball)
