On my recent trip to San Francisco, I was stopped a few times as people commented, "That's a great dress." I didn't dare miss an opportunity to flaunt my skills as a bargainness. "Thanks! I got it for $19 at the grocery store."
If you live in Canada and you have visited a Real Canadian Superstore, Loblaws or some similar food emporium in the Weston family of stores, you have likely come across Joe Fresh. Because what person in their right mind, when given the opportunity to mask clothes hunting as grocery shopping, would turn the other way?
Joe Fresh offers incredible fashions at ridiculously low prices. For the WHOLE family. And the quality is decent. How do they do it? Right now, they are offering an up-to-70% off sale. Which means you can get clothes for five bucks. And shoes. It's maddeningly awesome.
This morning I received both their adults and kids brochures for their fall collection. With the crappy summer we've been having in Toronto, I have given up on the idea of flirty florals. I was more than happy to embrace the idea of low-priced wool coats, gorgeous sweaters and the cutest wellies that I absolutely must have.
I'm eyeing some gold baby ballet flats for my girl and a darling cloche pour moi. So come on. Let's start a mini Joe Fresh fan-club in the comments. You can tell me your secret location that has the best selection and I'll tell you mine.
**the more I stare at this photo, the less enthralled with it I am, but they didn't have the dress on the site, so this is what you get. The red belt did not come with the dress and was $12.99 at H&M -- still putting the look together for under $40, until I added $85 shoes from Macy's, that is. Also added $45 USD Victoria's Secret bra to the look to battle the erosion taking place in my chestal area. Also, this being Addictine, my lipstick costs more than the dress -- Nars Red Lizard -- best red ever!

Joe makes shopping at RCSS feel like an affair. I love Joe!!
My daughters have some of the cutiest stuff from Joe! (Gotta love when they have the massive clearance racks...I got some great stuff for next summer!)
We shop at the one in Oakville. Now the RCSS is in direct compitition with the new Walmart Superstore across the parking lot so they've bee making some nice changes to the place.

I went to pick up coffee the other day and there were some really cute little strappy flats. I had to walk away quickly! Too cute.

Alas, our Atlantic Canada Superstore ONLY carries the kidlet stuff. It's great stuff, though.
Oh, I forgot - they've branched out to men's underwear and big floppy sun hats for women. Which means the good stuff is coming. RIGHT??
I love your dress!

The Loblaws near us is not a superstore, so I acutally - gasp - haven't even SEEN one with Joe. Shocking, I know. Still, I can't even bother buying clothes for me right now, so maybe in the fall, when I have my body at least partially back to myself, I will have to make the trip for some trasitional garb!
